Team Invictus from India after facing an early defeat against TNC in their opening match of the Group Stage bounced back with a victory against the Lebanon representatives, Team Virus. The win secured Invictus a position within the Playoffs.

Today marked the start of the Playoffs for the IeSF World Championship 2018 where India finds itself playing against the Romanian team, Nexus Gaming.

Road To Playoffs

India was the runners-up of Group – C having dropped a match to TNC following a win against Team Virus that led them to the Playoffs.

Nexus Gaming, on the other hand, was the point table leaders of Group – F displaying strong, confident plays with great discipline within the team.

Round of 16

Team Invictus tried hard and they played to their very limits but it was just not enough to defeat their Romanian adversaries, Nexus Gaming. The two teams fought it out on Inferno followed by Mirage where Nexus reigned triumph by a score of ‘16-9’ and ‘16-13’, respectively.

The Indians never lacked confidence neither was there a huge skill gap in between the players, it was just a minor difference in timing, positioning and follow up that played a massive role in the outcome of the matches.

Nexus was like ballet dancers performing a routine warmup as they played out some smooth rounds but Invictus was also a force to reckon with, creating a whole lot of problems in the second match but lacked that small little boost that would have surely forced a decider.

Winning the series with a score of ‘2-0’, Nexus Gaming moves onto the Quarterfinals of the IeSF World Championship 2018 to face off against Aequus, while Team Invictus are eliminated from the championship.
