India’s top Dota team, Signify, punched their way into the ESL One Mumbai main event, after breezing their way through the India qualifiers. The team has dominated LANs and qualifiers in the country since their inception and no team has gotten even close to beating them. It comes as little surprise that Signify will be the ones to represent the nation in front of their home crowd in Mumbai.

In the India qualifiers, Signify were only troubled in their opening series versus the India+Philippines mixed stack, Coming Soon and the series went the full distance before Signify closed it out 2-1. From there on out, it was smooth sailing for the boys in gold and yellow as they brushed aside ROG Titans in the upper bracket finals. Meanwhile, Coming soon, which saw Flysolo and RR team up with ex-Reckoning players, Moon, Divine and Zapheto were able to triumph in the lower bracket, eliminating both LXG Esports and then ROG Titans.

This set them up for a grudge match against Signify where they looked to avenge their earlier loss. However, it was not meant to be and Signify won 2 games in quick succession, and with the one-game advantage from the winner bracket, took the bo5 series 3-0. In game 1, they executed a fast-paced line up involving and Puck and Slark, which put an end to Divine’s AM who needed a lot more time and space to come online.

In game 2, No_Chanc3’s offlane Bounty Hunter went unchecked and found his team too many track kills and too much of an early game lead as Coming Soon crumbled under the pressure.

Signify now face a much harder challenge as they plan at LAN against some of the best teams in the world such as NiP, Gambit Esports, Alliance and Complexity.

ESL One Mumbai will see 12 teams clash for the lion's share of 300,000$ at NSCI Dome, Mumbai from the 16th-21st of April.
