3 Indian teams qualified for the PUBG Mobile Club Open Spring Split via the Indian qualifiers earlier this year but it seems as if players have had troubles securing visas to attend the $400,000 LAN in Berlin.

The Prelims kick off on the 20th of July, with TeamIND and Indian Tigers representing the country after securing 2nd and 3rd place in the India qualifiers. Unfortunately, earlier today Sc0utOP who is a popular streamer and player for TeamIND revealed that he and his teammates have had their visas rejected. As a result, they will be forced to play the Prelims from the NODWIN office in Delhi. However, he seemed hopeful that if the team does qualify for the next stage they will be able to get their visas in time. Team SouL, who placed first in the India Quals and have a direct slot in the main event, have also had their visas rejected but since their games kick off from the 26th, it seems as if they will have to time to reapply.

At this point, it also seems as if Indian Tigers are in a similar situation as TeamIND as was revealed by MortaL on his stream.

The Indian PUBG Mobile community will be indeed disappointed with the current situation as many were hopeful that their representatives would be able to shine on the big stage in Berlin. However, the ping difference to EU will certainly mean that TeamIND and Indian Tigers will have a massive disadvantage going into the Prelims. The fact that they have to play some of the world’s top teams like Team Secret, Purple Mood, Pittsburgh Knights and Nova doesn’t make it any easier.

The Prelims will kick off on the 20th of July so do stay tuned for all the live coverage and news from the event.
