MVP PK take down Alpha Red to win the COBX Masters - CS:GO

The last day of the COBX Masters witnessed the Grand Finale take place between the dark horse, Alpha Red and the Korean powerhouse, MVP PK.

Almost everyone expected the finale to take place between Grayhound Gaming and MVP PK but the Thai team, Alpha Red played some phenomenal CounterStrike to take down the Australians in the semi-finals.

The Finale was intense with the crowd split quite evenly between the two teams. The MVP fans still rooted hard for the side while the others were rallying for Alpha Red. It was a great showing by Alpha but MVP PK proved to be quite strong as they won back-to-back matches to walk away as the champions of the COBX Masters – CS:GO.

The first match saw the two teams go up against each other on Inferno. Alpha were off to a great start winning three rounds in a row but their progress was stopped short as MVP took the next 12 in a row to take a huge lead by half-time.

The latter half did not last long as Alpha were unable to find their way back into the match resulting in quite an easy victory for the Korean line-up.

The following match witnessed MVP dominate Alpha on Mirage playing CT-sided as they went on to post a score of '14-1' at the half-time mark but Alpha were not done yet as they made a huge comeback to equalise the score at '15-15' and took the match into overtime.

MVP however were able to get the upper hand in the overtime and went ahead to seal back-to-back victories and take the best-of-three series comfotably by a score of '2-0'.

Alpha were playing good but MVP PK were too strong for them. They were confident in their executes while being in sync with each other. MVP PK are the champions of the COBX Masters – CS:GO walking away with the trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 42,00,000.
