Mineski have announced that they will not be playing the GESC Thailand SEA Qualifiers. According to a tweet put out by them, there are 2 reasons as to why they have pulled out. The first is because of a busy schedule. The team’s recent success at the Dota 2 Asia Championship has granted them direct invites to both ESL One Birmingham and MDL Changsha. The team has quite a busy schedule leading up to TI and would instead like to focus on the events that they are guaranteed to play at.

The SEA Qualifiers for GESC Thailand have been a source of controversy involving TNC, Mineski, Fnatic and the organizers which started when GESC did not invite Fnatic to the quals as they assumed that Fnatic would be busy with other events. When Fnatic expressed their concerns regarding this, GESC changed the dates which did not sit well with Fnatic or TNC. Mineski have mentioned that this bias coming out from from the organizers is the second reason as to why they will not be playing the Qualifiers.
