Shounak SenguptaPublished On:
Mineski recently announced that they are partnering with Air Asia in an exclusive deal. AirAsia will come on board as special sponsors and airline partners in what will be their first foray into esports.

Mineski is currently the number 1 team in SEA, and while their performance at ESL One Genting may not have been top tier, they certainly are the team to beat in SEA. The one year sponsorship was announced in a press conference held at Genting International Convention Centre as an additional activity during the ESL One Genting tournament.

AirAsia Malaysia Commercial Head Spencer Lee said, “As a truly Asean airline, AirAsia is committed to supporting the region’s top talents and, as a digital airline, we are thrilled to be able to do just that with esports champions Mineski Team Pro. This sponsorship also reaffirms our commitment to engagement with millennials and Generation Z, who epitomise the incredible potential that defines Asean.”

Mineski Pro Team Team Captain Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung said, “As a long time AirAsia user, I’m excited that we will be representing AirAsia in esports. Hopefully, it is the start of many great things to come.
