The JDL has been the backbone of the Dota community since a long long time now, giving many upcoming teams a chance to play and hone their skills. It’s especially been useful in regions like SEA where the opportunities to get noticed by international fans are significantly lower. This year the JDL returns for its 13th season spanning across 3 continents.
Just like the previous iterations, JDL has a tiered structure of 4 divisions and a starter division, making it a pretty comprehensive format. The prize pool for the premier division is as follows:
1st - 2000$
2nd - 1250$
3rd - 750$
Let’s shed some light on the top division in Asia and see what teams are playing in it.
The Premier Division primarily consists of 10 SEA teams divided into two groups. Group A has TNC Tigers, Highground, Clutch Gamers, EVOS Esports and Team Veteran. Group B meanwhile features RRQ, Signify, Execration, Youngminds and Entity Gaming. Both groups seem to be fairly stacked and should have close games all throughout.
