Indonesia's First International Tournament Announced: TOYOTA Master Bangkok 2018

Toyota has recently announced the TOYOTA Master Bangkok 2018 CS:GO tournament. This is the first-ever international tournament taking place in Thailand. 

The CS:GO tournament is scheduled to take place from 21st-25th November at the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Thailand which has a seating capacity of about 15,000 spectators. 

The event features a $100,000 prize pool along with sponsors such as Sports Authority of Indonesia (Venue Partner), Twitch (Stream Partner), HyperX, Intel, AIS Fiber (Internet Service Provider), Plan B Media (Advertising Partner) & Singha Drinking Water.


Main Event 


The main event taking place in Bangkok is divided into Group Stage & Playoffs.

The group stage will take place from 21st-22nd November which will witness the top 6 teams qualifying for the playoffs. The playoffs are scheduled to be played between 23rd-25th November

10 teams will be making it to the main event which will be a combination of 4 directly invited teams along with 6 teams making it through the various online regional qualifiers.
 


Direct Invites


Out of the 4 direct invite slots, only one has been confirmed till now by the likes of Renegades. The other three openings will be confirmed as we move closer to the main event.


Regional Qualifiers 


6 teams will be making it to the main event through the 6 regional online qualifiers. Every regional online qualifier will see 1 team flying to Bangkok. 

The regions along with their online qualifier schedule are as follows: 

  • CIS: 20th-24th September 

  • Europe: 23rd-27th September 

  • NA: 28th September-2nd October 

  • SEA: 4th-8th October 

  • China: 7th-11th October 

  • Thailand: 6th-19th October 

For Thailand region, an additional offline qualifier will be held from 20th-21st October which will be a competition between the four teams qualifying through the online qualifier and will be held at the Pantip Esports Arena.

“We realize that the lifestyle of the young generation has changed according to modern technology. As a result, we have stepped up to catch up with the trend, especially on our policy to encourage young people to live their way of lives”
