ESL Pro League is where the best teams from around the world compete in their respective regional qualifiers for a spot on the world stage, at the global finals in Odense, Denmark.

The APAC qualifiers are already underway. A couple of changes have been announced with respec to the format, for the APAC region specifically for the China, SEA and ANZ qualifiers.

The Asia Playoffs which had a total of two slots, one for the winners of the ESL Pro League – China Qualifier and the other for the winners of the ESL Pro League – SEA Qualifier, has just been upgraded to accommodate a total of four slots.

One of these additional slots is given to the team that will be the runners-up at the China Qualifier while the other slot is for the Indian Region.

The India Slot

The winner of the ESL India Premiership Fall Finale which is scheduled to take place from 13th-14th October in Hyderabad, India will advance to the Asia Playoffs of the ESL Pro League CS:GO.

Particpants for the tournament taking place this coming weekend now have a lot more to play for than just the bragging rights and cash. The stakes have never been higher for any domestic league.

OpTic India has thus far dominated the league with an 11-0 run. Recently, the squad has qualified for the ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND Main Event and had a thriller of a game versus MVP PK at the Toyota Master Bangkok SEA Qualifiers. This makes OpTic India the heavy favourites to take the title and the Pro League slot however their opponents will be bringing their A-game to the event given that the stakes have just gotten larger.
