The lower bracket of the Asian Qualifier for IEM Sydney saw 2 clean sweeps as Flash Gaming and d[S] powered through to the finals. TyLoo and MVP PK have already qualified for the event and only one more team can join them.

Flash Gaming destroy 5Power

Flash took a convincing 2-0 over 5Power with wins on Inferno and Cobblestone to seal the deal. 5Power kept it together on their T side of Inferno but were unable to recover after the pistol round loss in the second half. Summer was really impactful picking up a crucial 29 frags as Flash Gaming wrapped it up 16-12.

5Power never really showed up for map number 2, which was Cobblestone, only managing to take 3 rounds in the entire map as Flash dominated and overpowered them every step of the way.

B.O.O.T-dream[S]cape get their revenge over Signature Gaming

Dreamscape got their revenge over Signature after the Thai team had taken a win over them at the ESL Pro League recently. The match was surprisingly one-sided as Signature looked underwhelming, a shadow of the side that managed to take the series just a few days earlier.

Signature managed to pick up 14 rounds across the entire series, staying only in single digits in each map. They were unable to break the CT defense on Mirage, picking up only 5 rounds on their T side and subsequently lost the map 16-8. Cache was even worse as B.O.O.T-dream[S]cape picked up 11 rounds on their T side, before actually conceding one as the half ended 13-2 in their favor. Quite a tame performance from Signature after the squad had impressed recently.

Flash Gaming and Dreamscape will be fighting it out for the last slot in the lower bracket finals. Stay tuned for more updates.
