Evil Geniuses just keep marching on in the Lower Brackets bringing down one of the tournament favourites, PSG.LGD with a scintillating 2-0 victory securing a Top 4 spot in the Kuala Lumpur Major.
The first game lasted a little less than 32 minutes, but it wasn’t as close as the timer made it seem. Evil Geniuses controlled the tempo almost from the start with SumaiL taking off on his Mirana, going 9/0/10 and securing a relatively easy victory.
PSG.LGD dominated for the better part of game 2 with a draft meant for a fast-paced, pushing strategy with a snowballing Somnus Tiny in the front lines. However, Cr1t managed to farm up an early Aghanim’s Scepter Weaver and turned the game around. PSG.LGD quite simply ran out of Damage against S4’s Centaur Warrunner, Arteezy’s Spectre and Cr1t’s Aghs Weaver and lost several close teamfights consecutively.
PSG.LGD were forced to make early buybacks, which were punished by Evil Geniuses as they closed out Game 2 and secured a 2-0 victory, knocking out PSG.LGD
The push comes through and we complete the comeback after being down for most of the game! Great decision-making from the team in order to bring home the 2-0! pic.twitter.com/9is9QuYM6w
