ESL has just announced their premier IP ESL One, will be taking place in Mumbai. The 300,000$ event will feature 12l teams just like all ESL One events and take place in the month of April. Unfortunately, though, the event is not part of the DPC circuit but will be a standalone event like all other ESL One events this season.

Since the conclusion of TI8, ESL has already hosted ESL One Hamburg and plans for ESL One Katowice in Feb and ESL One Birmingham in May have been revealed. ESL One Mumbai will be the biggest esports event in India and with a prize pool of 300,000$ just for a single title, it will be the first event to feature premier tier one teams.

Date, location and tickets
The event will take place from the 19th to the 21st of April at NSCI Dome in Mumbai. The venue can cater to an audience of up to 8000. The group stages will take place from the 16th to the 18th prior to the main event. Only 8 of the 12 teams will play in the group stages while 4 will get seeded directly in the main event.

Tickets for the event are priced from INR 499 for a single day to INR 2499 for premium tickets. More details on tickets and pricing can be found here.
Qualifiers and Invites
7 teams will receive direct invites for the event while 5 more will join them via Regional qualifiers held across various regions. One team will qualify from NA, EU, China and SEA each while one slot has been reserved for a local Indian team which too will be decided via a qualifier.
