The Open Qualifiers for the SEA region for ESL One Katowice 2019 finally came to a close yesterday with DeToNator and Team Admiral Moving onto the Regionals. This completes the list of 4 teams who will fight for the single spot available in the ESL One Katowice 2019.
Team Admiral has had quite a few victories in the Open Qualifiers over the past fw tournaments making it through the Kuala Lumpur Major, Dreamleague Season 10 open qualifiers. But they failed to deliver in the regionals on both occasions, being eliminated relatively early without landing a spot in either LAN.
However, this could be their big shot at making it to the LAN event considering that only 4 teams will competing in the field.
On the other side of the Brackets, DeToNator with their new roster came out on top. After surprise semifinalists, After taking down EVOS Esports in the first matchup of the day, they brought down Tamago and HighGroundTV with a convincing 2-0 victory to secure a spot in the SEA Regional Qualifiers.
Both Admiral and Sterling Global Dragons have definitely surpassed expectations to make it to the SEA Regional Qualifiers, but they have no time to rest on their laurels as the Bucharest Minor: SEA Open qualifiers are all set to kick off in just 2 days on December 1.
The ESL One: Katowice Regional Qualifiers will take place later this month on 8-9 December 2018!!
