ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2018 continues with its group stage on the second day of the event. Today we will witness a lot more action as all the games held today will be a BO3 series.

All the elimination matches will be played in the first half of the day followed by the decider matches. The winners of these decider matches will be occupying the four remaining slot in the Playoffs, which has already booked the first four teams taking part in it yesterday itself.

Out of all the matches being played out on the first half of the day. The match which everyone was most anxious to witness was the one held between OpTic India and Revolution.

Disappointment Strikes OpTic India

With OpTic India failing to play up to their potential yesterday against FrostFire, they faced off against Revolution in the Group-C eliminator.

The series started off on Inferno with OpTic India starting strong but there was still a lack in their performance as they continued dropping rounds every now and then. Unable to generate a solid momentum in their favour, OpTic still managed a small lead at the halftime mark.

The next half is where OpTic brought forth its best executes, demolishing their opponents by giving away just a single round as they raced to victory with the scores of ‘16-7’.

The second match was played on Cache. Here Revolution started off with a hattrick after a series of rushes aided them in catching OpTic India out of position. OpTic adjusted well pulling themselves back into the game by winning the next four rounds.

The match went on with both the teams going all out but Revolution were able to take the lead after a 1v1 witnessed Antidote failing to defuse the bomb.

The second half started off with OpTic shutting down Revolution with a successful pistol round and levelled out the scores at ‘8-8’. After a few more rounds the match suddenly came to a stop.

Revolution moves on to play against FrostFire in the Decider Match.

The other eliminator matches that took place today are,

Group – A

Both the losing teams from yesterday, D13 & SZ Absolute faced-off against each other in the first match of the day.

Both the games observed the determination that the two teams had for making it to the Playoffs as the two went all out in both their matches.

Devil13 came out on top in both the matches showing great temperament in pressure situations which was a big advantage in winning those clutch matches. As they won on Cache and Train with scores of '16-13' & '16-14', respectively.

SZ Absolute were the first team to get eliminated from the event as D13 move on to face NASR.

Group – B

In this group, Sad Story was up against Beyond.

It wasn't a good sight to see Sad Story struggle as Beyond played out without using any spectacular strats, plays or such, always sticking to the basics Beyond outplayed Sad Story in all aspects of the game. Taking the win on both Cache and Train with scores of '16-8' & '16-7', respectively.

Beyond move on to face the decider against Flash as Sad Story's journey comes to an end.

Group – C match has already been discussed above while there was no elimination match taking place in Group – D with XCN ready to face TNC directly in the decider match.

Stay tuned as we bring you an update on the Decider Matches as soon as all of them are played out.
