The ESL Pro League Season 8 – Chinese Qualifier finally came to an end yesterday with CyberZen clawing its way through the Lower Bracket and making it through to the ESL Pro League Season 8 - Asia Qualifier.
CyberZen were knocked down to the Lower Bracket after they lost ‘2-0’ to ViCi Gaming in the Upper Bracket Semifinals.
From here on out it was a hustle for CyberZen who did not qualify easily. Every match-up went down to a decider and every time they proved their worth moving onto the next game until they defeated MVP PK in the Lower Bracket Finals and qualified for the Asia Qualifier.
The Hustle started off with CyberZen beating Flash Gaming with a series score of ‘2-1’ in the LB Round-2 after which they moved on to face TyLoo in the LB Round-3.
CyberZen started off strong but TyLoo overwhelmed them completely in the second match which took place on Mirage. Recovering from the ‘16-2’ loss, CyberZen won a decisive match on Overpass and defeating TyLoo with a series score of ‘2-1’ moved on once again to lock horns with MVP PK in the LB Finals.
MVP PK, who were on a victory high after being crowned as the ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2018 Champions were defeated by CyberZen with a series score of ‘2-1’. The game was tough as the first two matches ended with a similar score of ‘16-14’ on Cache and Inferno with CyberZen coming out on top in the third match which took place on Dust 2, with a score of ‘16-8’.
