CSGO2ASIA Teases Asian Pro League

Aditya Singh RawatPublished On:

Competitive Asian Counter Strike has been striving to catch up to its western peers for a while now however CSGO2ASIA's latest initiative might just be its salvation. This teaser comes shortly after the org has succesfully consolidated multiple Facebook communities under its banner.

Teams in the region have mostly stuck to playing isolated national competitions with the primary exception to this being SoStronk Next - a solo queue matchmaking system reserved for Asia's best.

Regional qualifiers for international tournaments provide sporadic opportunties for Asian teams to compete versus each other however the absence of a perpetual / seasonal league has lead to an eerily silent competitive circuit.

Despite this, a few teams have had impressive performances on the international stage.
Tyloo's run through IEM Shanghai 2018 and their 3rd/4th place finish at the CSGO Asia Championships 2018 were nothing short of miraculous. Earlier in April, MVP PK won the CS:GO Asia Summit against their Asian peers followed by a 3rd/4th place finish at the ZOTAC Cup Masters in August.

The upcoming Asian Pro League could be the shot in the arm that Asian CS:GO desperately needs and we look forward to CSGO2ASIA's next big announcement!
