Melbourne will play host to one of the biggest premier Dota 2 events ever held Down Under with the announcement of Convictus Esports’ Dota 2 Pro Series. The group announced earlier today. This is one of Australia’s biggest ever Dota 2 tournaments and will likely attract much attraction from a fanbase that has received very little love from Valve in recent times.

The two-day event is all set to take place on  8th – 9th December 2018 in the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. The event boasts a whopping $50,000 AUD ($38,120 USD) and will feature 8 teams in which 2 teams will be International invites, 2 teams will be picked from Chinese Qualifiers, 2 from SEA Qualifiers, and 2 home-ground teams from Australia.

No details of the qualifiers/invites have been announced yet, you can register HERE to receive email notifications of Company announcements and to keep up to date with the latest news about the event.

It will likely be announced post The International 8. For now, we'll have to wait in anticipation.
