Mineski’s success at the Dota 2 Asian Championship comes as good news to tier 2 SEA teams in the SEA quals. The win, put them in a position to receive a direct invite for the MDL Changsha Major, thereby opening up slots for other SEA teams.
The slot vacated by Mineski, has been given to Clutch Gamers now. The Regional Qualifiers currently looked quite stacked with both Fnatic and TNC playing in them. Geek Fam, Execration and BOOM ID have also been invited. The 6 teams will also be joined by 2 teams from the Open Qualifiers which are currently underway.
This will be big opportunity for CG, who are yet to prove themselves on the big stage after picking up their new roster. Do note that since CG have changed rosters after the official roster lock date, they will not be eligible for DPC points even if they qualify and do well at the event.
