Earlier this month, Team Empire announced that Chappie was up for transfer. Empire’s statement on the transfer said that the decision to drop Chappie from the team was somewhat mutual and that they would provide maximal assistance to help him find a new home. It looks like they’ve succeeded.
Chappie will be replacing Jun “Bokerino” Kanehara who left the Clutch Gamers squad earlier this month. Clutch Gamer’s post also suggests that will be playing in the Carry role, which implies that Jio “Jeyo” Madayag will shift to the offlane role.
Thus their complete roster is:
- Vladimir "Chappie" Kuzmenko
- Armel “Armel” Paul Tabios
- Jio “Jeyo” Madayag
- Marvin “Boombacs” Rushton
- Kenneth “Flysolo” Coloma
Clutch Gamer’s roster change comes after months of mediocre results in Major/Minor qualifiers as well as Local tournaments. Perhaps this roster change can reinvigorate their lineup and push them back to the lofty heights they reached just before the TI7 Qualifiers where they won 4 SEA Qualifiers in a row.
