The grind for the second Major of the current DPC season goes underway tomorrow as 8 SEA teams will face off for two spots at the Major.

The format

The 8 teams have been divided into 2 groups of 4 and the groups will play out a GSL format between themselves. The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the double-elimination playoffs from which only 2 teams will qualify for the Major.

The group stages will take place over the next 2 days ie 25th and 26th of November while the playoffs are on the 27th.

The teams

TNC, Lotac, Mineski and 496 are in Group A which looks to be a relatively easy group for TNC Predators. The Filipino team were the highest placing SEA team at the Kuala Lumpur Major and will be expected to go through this time as well. Mineski and their newest member, pieliedie,  will look to kickstart their DPC journey after a slow start last time around while Lotac will look to better their last time's performance after coming within one game of making it to the Major. 496 definitely look like the underdogs in the Group A.

Group B see’s Fnatic as the top seeded team, followed by Tigers. Both teams had sub-par performances at the Major and will be hoping to stack up more DPC points this time around. But to do that, they must once again traverse the difficult waters of the SEA Qualifiers. Indonesia’s BOOM ID and Malaysia’s WG.Unity make up the rest of Group B.

Games begin at 10:30 am IST/1 pm SGT and will be covered on the AFK Gaming channel.
