Arknemesis Gaming and Phoenix Market City Chennai announce the biggest ever Indian Dota tournament

Chennai based gaming cafe chain, Arknemesis Gaming and Phoenix Market City Chennai have announced what seems to be the single largest Dota tournament the country has ever seen - ROG Onslaught. Boasting a massive prize pool of 10 lakh INR or 14,250 USD, this is one of the largest prize money offered via a single tournament.

 
Format
 

4 teams will be selected via online qualifiers and get to compete at the LAN finale at Phoenix Market City, Chennai. The format for the online stage is single elimination RO128 bracket from which the top 4 teams will be selected. The travel and stay for these teams will be covered by the organizers. At the LAN, all matches will be BO5s and the 4 teams will compete in a single elimination format.

 
Dates
 

The registrations will be open from the 4th to the 14th of September. To register for the event, click HERE.

 

The online qualifiers will take place from the 17th to the 20th of September. The LAN finals will take place on the 28th, 29th and 30th of September with one match being held per day.

 

Cash prizes plus goodies will be given out to the top 2 teams, but the breakdown of the distribution is still unknown. 

 

The Dota event will be the main attraction while FIFA, PUBG and VR games are also listed as part of the activities. All the games will be a part of a larger event which is being called the Phoenix Gaming expo.
