The final day of ESL Pro League Season 9 for both the Chinese and the SEA Closed Qualifier witnessed a team each making it through to the Asia Finals. Alpha Red surely surprised a lot of people by making it through the Lower Bracket of the SEA Closed Qualifier whereas 5Power Gaming took down Panda Gaming in the Lower Bracket Finals of Chinese Closed Qualifier.

After the first day of the event in the SEA region, two teams qualified onto the Asia Finals whereas the other six teams dropped down to the Lower Bracket. I was shocked to see Rex Regum Qeon defeat TNC Pro Team, maybe if it would have been a three-match series the outcome would have been different but it was still a massive upset.

Due to this upset, the Lower Bracket Finals was played between Alpha Red and RRQ which was easily won by the Thai team.

The Chinese qualifiers went as expected with 5Power claiming the second slot, but a round of applause for Panda Gaming to fight through the Lower Bracket after dropping down early in the series and reaching all the way to the Lower Bracket Finals.

With this, all the teams for the ESL Pro League Season 9 - Asia Finals are set and have been divided into two groups of four teams each depending on their region.
