The South Asia Open qualifiers came to an end with Executioners qualifying for the APAC Regionals. The Indonesian team took down the likes of Recca and TNC to make win the qualifiers.

XCN will now play in the Asia finals along with 8 more teams and only 1 will qualify for the 300,000$ main event in Hong Kong in August. The teams in the Asia Qualifiers are as follows:

Signature Gaming - Thailand - Direct invite

ORDER - Australia - Direct invite

PreciousGenius - Hong Kong - HK qualifiers

SZAbsolute - Japan - Japan qualifiers

MVP PK - Korea - Korean qualifiers

Executioners - Indonesia - South Asia qualifiers #2

TBD - South Asia qualifiers #1

TBD - Taiwan qualifiers

XCN looked sharp throughout the qualifiers and pulled off a surprise 2-1 win over fellow Indonesians, Recca Esports in the quarterfinals. This was followed by a 2-0 win over Singaporean team, Devious in the semifinals. In the finals, they faced TNC, who themselves didn’t have the easiest road to the finals. The Filipino side had to fight hard in the semifinals for a 2-1 victory over Thai side, Alpha Red.

The finals were, however, quite one-sided as XCN clean swept TNC to move onto the APAC Regionals. The action kicked off on Cobblestone, where a superior 11-4 CT side set up XCN for a 16-6 win. On Mirage, the first half was much closer but XCN picked up 8 rounds on their T side as compared to TNC’s 1 to take the win.

However, XCN will have their work cut out in the Asia Qualifiers, which kick off in June.
