Abu Dhabi is set and ready to commence the PLG Grand Slam 2018

The PLG Grand Slam 2018 is all set to start tomorrow onwards taking place at the Yas Islands in Abu Dhabi. 

The event is being managed by du Form which is one of the biggest event management companies from Abu Dhabi making this esport event really grand and extravagant.

PLG Grand Slam 2018 will be home to a lot of gaming titles including CS:GO, Rocket League, League of Legends and Fortnite to name a few.


CS:GO
 

The CS:GO event is one of the biggest attraction of the event witnessing participation from a lot of international teams. Multiple regional qualifiers have led 8 teams to qualify onto the Main Event while 8 other teams have been directly invited for the mega event. 

Following are all the teams that will be the part of the Main Event:

PLG Grand Slam 2018 will witness the 16 teams being divided into 4 groups of 4 teams each where each group will undergo a double elimination bracket with the top 2 teams from each group making it through to the Playoffs. 

The opening and the winner's match-up will be a BO1 game while the decider and the elimination match-up will be a BO3 series. 

The 8 qualifying teams will then play in a BO3, single elimination bracket with the winning team walking away as the champions of the PLG Grand Slam 2018 along with winning a cash prize of $50,000

The runners-up and the team placing third will be receiving a cash prize of $30,000 & $20,000, respectively.


In addition, our own Sudhen ‘Bleh’ Wahengbam will also be attending the event as an Analyst along with his Norwegian counterpart Halvor ‘vENdetta’ Gulestøl
