5Power Gaming finishes on top in the Epicenter China Qualifier

The Epicenter China Closed Qualifier came to an end today on 20th September with 5Power Gaming triumphing above all its competitors.

After the first day of group stages, the second day continued on with the group stages. The final standing at the end of the second day was as follows:

The top two teams from both the groups moved onto the playoffs which took place today.

The playoffs followed a single elimination BO3 format.

The playoffs started with CyberZen taking down Team MAX ‘2-1’, winning on Train and Nuke with a score of ‘16-6’ and ‘16-2’, respectively. 5Power Gaming toppled EHOME on Dust 2 and Nuke‘16-7’ and ‘16-11’ respectively. 

The grand finals were held between CyberZen and 5Power Gaming which came down to a decider as 5Power managed to come back into the BO3 series winning the last two matches, scoring ‘16-5’ on Mirage and ‘16-6’ on Inferno. 

With this, 5Power Gaming will be moving on to the Epicenter Wild Card Qualifier where it will be competing against teams from other regions like EU, NA and CIS.
