Despite the fact that Dota 2 patch 7.31d might not have directly affected heroes considerably, changes to items such as Black King Bar (BKB), Wraith Pact, and Healing Salve have caused pro players to alter their hero selections. Team Spirit's YouTube channel recently featured a video in which Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk, Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov, and Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek named the three best heroes to play in their respective roles in ranked games. The choices of Yatoro, Miposhka, and TORONTOTOKYO all took the recent patch 7.31d changes into consideration in describing the best carry, mid, and position five heroes currently.
Following a discussion on patch 7.31d and the implications of different changes, Yatoro, Miposhka, and TORONTOTOKYO were asked to select the best heroes in ranked games currently.
Sven, Morphling, and Anti Mage are the finest three heroes for the carry role, according to Yatoro. While Yatoro is known to like Anti Mage, he also stated that Anti Mage was recommended due to the surge in magical-based heroes.
“Sven, Morphling, Anti-Mage because all picks are magical now, and he’s ANTI-MAGE. So, he’s against Magic.” said Yatoro.
The increase in magic-based heroes mentioned by Yatoro is most likely due to the increased cooldown of BKB from 75 to 90 seconds in patch 7.31d.
It was then Miposhka's chance to discuss his top three support heroes for the current patch. He mentioned Enchantress, Dazzle, and Jakiro.
“The first thing that comes to mind. Let it be Enchantress. It’s a secret hero. Dazzle and Jakiro. As Lycan is in meta now, you need a hero that summons some stuff, so Jakiro and Enchantress are strong, and Dazzle is strong too, he has Aghanim’s Shard that gives hex for 2 seconds.” said Miposhka.

While TORONTOTOKYO did not offer a clear rationale for his pick, he chose Lycan, Pudge, and Ember Spirit as the three heroes to play in the midlane in 7.31d.
“I can say for sure that Lycan on mid is imba without a doubt,”
TORONTOTOKYO also made a comment during the video. In addition, for players interested in playing Pudge in the midlane, he listed the item build he prefers: Phase Boots, Aghanim's Scepter, BKB, Blink Dagger, and Shiva's Guard.
Team Spirit is presently competing in the Eastern Europe (EEU) Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 Tour 3: Division 1, and it will be fascinating to see how many of the aforementioned heroes are favored by the team in future pro games. Spirit is currently undefeated, having won three consecutive series, and its next series will be against One Move on 1st July.
