The third series for both BOOM and Fnatic in SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division has ended in the former’s advantage as they won their second series of the tournament.
Game 2 was Mikoto’s show as he delivered an impeccable performance on Storm Spirit. BOOM regularly picked off enemy heroes with their high mobility lineup as they established a solid networth lead. Fnatic’s last hurrah was some insane Blackhole by Masaros, but the Indonesians were spot on with their position as they won game 2 in 43 minutes.
Game 3 saw Drew taking the spotlight in the carry role as he amassed a lot of creep score and chopped down enemy heroes. This game was an easy one for Khezcute and his boys as they heavily outplayed Fnatic, winning the game in 39 minutes and series 2-1.
Despite losing their debut match of the tournament against Neon Esports, BOOM is now looking solid with back to back wins against 496 Gaming and Fnatic. With this victory, they are now in a safe, top three spot that grants them a place in the first Major of the season. Their next challenge of the tournament will be against T1 tomorrow, February 4.
