The CS:GO roster of Imperial Esports has undergone its first change as their head coach Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu bid farewell to the Brazilian esports organization.
Almost six months after having acquired the last dance lineup, Imperial took a decision to part ways with peacemaker, under whose guidance the team was able to achieve a lot in a very short duration. They went from competing in the regional circuit to breaking onto the international scene, managing to reach a peak of 14th position on the global HLTV rankings.
On his way out of the team, peacemaker thanked the organization and all the players for giving him the opportunity to represent Brazil. He also expressed his desire of continuing working as a coach "with a lot of commitment and now even more experienced."
Having started out competing in the current season under the banner of Imperial Esports, from February onwards, the team has already witnessed the highs and lows that come along with the trade.
The team surprised everyone by qualifying for the PGL Antwerp Major 2022 through a fairly stacked American RMR (Regional Major Rankings), continuing to prove the haters wrong by making its way through to the Legends Stage of the tournament.
Imperial Esports went on to compete in the IEM Dallas 2022 but failed to recreate the magic that everyone had witnessed during its performance in Antwerp, Belgium.
This also marked the start of the team's slump up until the player break as it crashed out of the IEM Cologne 2022 with a 17th-20th finish.
In desperate need of a change, multiple reports surfaced during the offseason about possible shuffles that Imperial might undergo including the departure of peacemaker, which has now come true.
"We designed and executed everything with much love and commitment. I had a lot of fun, in six months we went from nothing to top 14 in the world and competed at a high level, exchanged experiences and lived the 'Last Dance' dream intensely," said peacemaker, on his way out of the team with whom he had spent half of the current season.
He added that without the support of the CS:GO community none of the things achieved by the team would have made any sense at all.
Peacemaker thanks Imperial Esports and all the players
Imperial Esports might be looking for a new coach and could announce a potential replacement in the coming time. Till then, a few more speculated changes that might take place involve the signing of Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes over from MIBR, as a replacement for Lincoln "fnx" Lau.
A thing to note here is that chelo has already parted ways with MIBR about a week ago and might soon transition over to Imperial Esports.
