One of the most popular CS:GO skin trading websites, CS.MONEY, was hacked in August 2022.
According to CS.MONEY, the hacker stole CS:GO skins worth $6,000,000 before this crime was noticed.
Due to extent of the hack and no immediate resolution, CS.MONEY had to take down the website.
Hacker were allegedly able to steal the skins by taking control of trade bots used by CS.MONEY through a security exploit.
CS.MONEY did not fix the exploit and regain control of trade bots for a week.
Eventually, CS.MONEY has seemingly identified the exploit and fixed the loophole.
CS.MONEY claimed that it had managed to retrieve half of the stolen CS:GO skins already.
The company has also claimed that it has identified the hacker.
