Upthrust has announced an invite-only BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) tournament called Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 1 scheduled to take place from 2nd May to 16th June.

This tournament features a total prize pool of INR 10,00,000 ($12,920 USD) along with 24 of the best BGMI teams from across the country, which have received a direct invite to compete in this tournament.

Divided into two stages, semi finals and grand finals, this particular BGMI event has faced a few setbacks and changes in its schedule due to the packed competitive calendar. Despite all this, teams continue to deliver their best possible performance, enthralling the audience and aiming for the first-place finish.

Upthrust Esports has come forward with the complete information for the upcoming Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 1 which features a total prize pool of INR 10,00,000 with some of the most popular BGMI teams from across India going up against each other.

Invited Teams

A total of 24 teams have been directly invited for this tournament from all over the country. These teams have been further divided into three groups of eight teams each for the semi final stage of the event.

The invite-only online tournament will be taking place from 2nd May to 16th June. This is what the updated schedule of the Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 1 looks like,

With the event being divided between two different stages and competing teams being divided into three groups of eight teams each. Here is how the semi final stage of the tournament will be played out.

  • In the semi final stage, the 24 qualified teams will be split into three groups of eight teams each, taking on each other following a round-robin format across seven days from 2nd May to 6th June.

  • Each match day will witness a total of six matches being played, resulting in a cumulative total of 42 matches across the entire semi final stage.

  • This means that each group will be playing 28 matches in total across the seven days of the semi final stage.

  • Based on the performance of all teams at the end of the semi final stage, the top 16 teams will qualify ahead to the grand finals stage which is scheduled to take place from 7th to 16th June.

  • Here, each day will witness six matches taking place, resulting in a total of 36 matches being played across the six days, and the team with the highest cumulative points will be crowned as the champion of Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 1.
