The Valley’s star jungler Michael "MobaZane" Cosgun claims a player’s age may affect how they play in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). According to him, as players get older, they tend to be more strategic in their gameplay instead of simply focusing on their mechanical skills. MobaZane used Blacklist International as an example, claiming that the squad isn’t mechanically impressive but its strategy is mostly dominant against most opponents.

The North American pro player also shared how much MLBB has changed, claiming that back then, all you had to do was take kills and snowball, unlike today where strategies are much more complicated.

Blacklist International players aren’t impressive individually but shine as a team, says MobaZane

Through a livestream, MobaZane shared how young players play differently in comparison to older players.

“I would say strategically you just get better with age,” he said. “So, you’re more worried about strategies than mechanics, maybe?”

He recalled his younger days where all he cared about was improving his mechanical skills in MLBB.

“When I was 15, all that I [was] really worried about was mechanics because I wasn’t too strategic,” said MobaZane.

He used Blacklist International as another example of a team with a top-notch strategy.

“They [Blacklist International] don’t win because of micro, they’re not that insane mechanically,” the star jungler stated. “I mean, at least not Wise and V33nus.”

MobaZane explained how Jonmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna and Danerie "Wise" Rosario are not that flashy with their playstyle. However, the dynamic duo was able to spearhead Blacklist International in matches due to their strategies.

“Overall, they’re not the best players in their role but they’re the best at teamwork,” said MobaZane.

The Valley’s seasoned jungler further elaborated that the current meta has changed drastically where strategy is more valuable than just going for kills.

“Back then, ML was really about mechanics. So, that’s all you really needed, it was to farm and get kills,” explained MobaZane. “Once you snowball, you get one or two kills, and the game is over, you don’t need any strategy.”

The current meta of MLBB heavily relies on which jungler gets to secure the most crucial objectives in the game. A tank hero is also highly suggested when playing the role so as to survive ambushes and serve as the team’s frontline on top of being the one to secure objectives.
