With only a few days left before the start of the M2 Worlds Championship, participating teams have traveled in Singapore, and were preparing to face each other at the M2 World Championship. However, the Brazillian team, DreamMax has run into a significant setback. Three of their participating members tested positive for COVID-19 and have hence been quarantined.

Three of their players, Fabio ‘Waas’ Araujo, Mayke ‘Mayke’ Melo, and Godman ‘Faker RX’ Cabral were tested positive after arriving in Singapore. According to Waas’ Instagram story, they will stay in the hospital for seven days. After leaving the hospital, they will be going back into quarantine and then return to Brazil.
DreamMax teams tested negative in Brazil before their departure for Singapore on Dec. 30, 2020. So it was quite a surprise to see three of their members test positive on Jan. 11, 2021, and hence being be sent into a hospital.
With the three players’ departure, the team is left with only four players to participate in the M2 World Championships. This is a massive handicap for DreamMax as they also had to exclude their Hypercarry, Vitor ‘Stark’ Hugo, who could not travel with them due to age constraints.
Stark is one of the best esports athletes in DreamMax, and the fans were sad that the promising member couldn’t showcase his talents in one of the biggest MLBB tournaments.
Despite this unexpected turn of events, It is heartening to see that the team will still participate in the M2 World Championships 2021 and compete against the world’s best Mobile Legends teams.
