  • Fnatic show signs of life on opening day of week 2 at PMPL South Asia.
  • Orange Rock lead the table, but Godlike are close behind having played fewer games.

Having announced that this will be their last roster with the team, Fnatic are hoping to go out with a bang. While their recent string of performances haven’t been inspiring, the team have managed to stay in the middle of the pack with some occasional hero moments. However, the squad did have an excellent day on the opening day of week 2, and with 80 points in 5 matches, have given some hope to their fans.

Week 2 started with teams from Groups A, B, C and D which meant that table toppers, Godlike were not playing the first four matches. While Fnatic started off Erangel with a win thanks to some excellent positional awareness in the final circle, Orange Rock were allowed to go ahead after clinching their 5th chicken winner of the league stage. The win came after Fnatic misplayed a final circle over peeking from a high ground advantage, allowing Mavi to capitalize quite effectively. Elsewhere, Team IND picked up a win on Sanhok while Team INES were able to grab the first chicken dinner of the stage for themselves and their country, Bangladesh on Vikendi.

On the final map of the day, Group E replaced Group B, as SynerGE walked to an easy chicken dinner on Sanhok. This was also the same match in which Fnatic’s Scout faced a parachute glitch that set his team back early. 4 top 5 finishes in 5 games allows Fnatic to climb up 2 spots to number 5 on the table. However, one team that will be really disappointed will be Orange Rock. They only took a 30 point lead over Godlike, who still have 4 extra games in hand. While OR were good in a couple of games, the team were unable to maintain consistency as they succumbed to bottom 5 finishes in the rest of the games.

The rest of the matches of week 2 will kick off on the 29th of May ie, Friday as teams lock horns once again. The stakes continue to remain high as no team has taken an unassailable lead and surprises await in the remaining game days. Stay tuned for all the news and updates from the world of PUBG MOBILE!
