MSI 2023 Bracket Stage: Schedule, Results & Other Details

The Mid-Season Invitational 2023 kicked off on 2nd May with the Play-In Stage which recently concluded.
The bracket stage of the tournament features eight top teams!
Here's all you need to know about the bracket stage of the tournament.

League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2023 is already moving on to the Bracket stage after the conclusion of the exciting Play-In phase. MSI 2023 is the first international competition of the new season with a revamped format and an increased number of participants. While the four major regions of Korea, China, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), and North America send two representatives each, the other regions sent one team to the tournament. 

The Play-In Stage of MSI 2023 kicked off on 2nd May and concluded on 7th May. 

G2 Esports (G2), Golden Guardians (GG), and Bilibili Gaming (BLG) advanced to the Bracket Stage where they fought all the other five prequalified teams in a double-elimination bracket.

Team List

The MSI bracket stage draw concluded in London following Golden Guardians’ victory over PSG. Here are the remaining eight teams at the event:

  • Gen.G (Gen)

  • T1

  • JD Gaming (JDG)

  • Bilibili Gaming (BLG) [Qualified from Play-In]

  • MAD Lions (MAD)

  • G2 Esports (G2) [Qualified from Play-In]

  • Cloud9 (C9)

  • Golden Guardians (GG) [Qualified from Play-In]

Format for MSI 2023 Bracket Stage

  • A total of eight teams participate in the Bracket Stage

  • Five teams prequalified for Stage 2 and three from Stage 1 (Play-In)

  • Double elimination bracket

  • Matches are best-of-five

  • The games are played on LoL Patch 13.8 with Milio and Yuumi disabled

The bracket stage of the tournament will run from 9th May till 21st May and will feature a total of 14 series.

All the best-of-five matches in the first round of the bracket stage feature an Eastern team going up against a Western one. There are no intra-regional matchups until at least the second round of the bracket.
