MSI 2022 Group Stage: Schedule, Results, Other Details

The Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) is held between the first and second splits of the regular League of Legends competitive season, with the leading teams of each regional league competing for the title. The first international event of this year for League of Legends Esports (LoL Esports), MSI 2022, will run between 10th - 29th May at the Busan Esports Arena and Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) in Busan, South Korea, announced Riot Games. This will be South Korea’s first time hosting an MSI tournament and it also marks the return of an international event to the country after four years. Notably, this is the 7th MSI since the tournament’s founding in 2015.

With the MSI 2022 starting next week, Riot Games has revealed the full schedule for the Group Stage of the tournament, which will span the first six days.

Here are the schedule, results, standings, and more details about the MSI 2022 group stage.

A guide to MSI 2022 Group Stage

Eleven teams have been split into three groups, with two groups of four teams and one with three teams.

Format (10 - 15th May)

• Teams are drawn into three groups based on seeding

• Double Round Robin for Groups A and B, Quadruple Round Robin for Group C

• Matches are best-of-one

• Top two teams from each group advance to the Rumble Stage of MSI 2022

Note: Due to unintended disparity in latency between competing teams, RNG's matches prior to May 13th were declared null and void and will be replayed.

RNG originally won its matches against PSG.Talon, Istanbul Wildcats, and RED Candids before they were nullified.
