The League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) 2023 Summer Season is the second split of North America’s (NA) more-than-a-decade-old professional league. A total of ten teams compete in a round-robin group stage; from here, the top eight teams get the chance to fight for the coveted LCS Championship and qualify for Worlds 2023. Teams are coming into this split with a mentality reset since the results from spring do not matter anymore.

A Guide to LCS 2023 Summer

The LCS 2023 Summer Split is the second split of the eleventh year of NA’s professional league where ten teams compete in a round-robin group stage in best-of-ones (BO1) to qualify for the playoffs.

Format

  • Ten teams participate

  • Double round-robin setup

  • Matches are best-of-one

  • The top eight teams qualify for the LCS Championship

  • The top six teams start in the upper bracket

  • Seventh and eighth-place teams start in the lower bracket

Schedule for LCS Summer Split

The LCS 2023 Summer Split kicks off on 14th June with a classic match between Cloud9 and Golden Guardians. Since the league was delayed by two weeks because of the LCSPA walkout, there are currently six weeks of play scheduled with three days of play every week. All times mentioned in the tables below are in PST and are subject to change.

The LCS 2023 Summer Split will have six weeks of regular play before moving onto the next stage. Teams will have to do extremely well and improve from their Spring Split form to have a shot at Worlds 2023.

Following the regular season, the LCS 2023 Championship will be held in a different state. The championship will see the crowning of the best North American team after a showdown.
