This year the LCK introduced a double-elimination bracket. As a result, the four teams that qualify for Round 2 will have a second chance to continue fighting even if they lose a series. Notably, the Korean league has been running a single-elimination bracket since 2012 where teams would get eliminated just after one loss. Fans should note that the double-elimination bracket begins only when there are only four teams remaining.
