Following its inclusion in the Asian Games 2018 and the SEA Games 2019, Dota 2 will also now be featured in the upcoming 2021 Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games. Overall six esports titles — Dota 2, Arena of Valor, Legends of Runeterra, Tekken 7, Assetto Corsa, and One Lap E-Cycling will be featured as medal events in this tournament.
The 2021 Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games is scheduled to take place in May 2021 in Thailand. A total of 62 countries will be participating in this tournament. These include:

This will be the sixth edition of the tournament. The 2021 Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games is scheduled to take place from 21st to 30th May 2021 in Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok and the province of Chonburi.
This is not the first time that esports has been included in this series of tournaments.
In March 2020, a decision was made in a meeting between the Asian Electronic Sports Federation, Thailand Electronic Sports Federation, and Olympic Committee of Thailand to include esports as a medal event in the 2021 Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games.
In 2018, Esports was featured at the Asian Games as a demonstration sport. Originally this was supposed to lead to a full medal inclusion at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, however, esports were excluded from the final list.
