The League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) 2023 Spring Season is the first split of the 11th year of North America's professional league. After battling it out for eight weeks straight, the top six teams out of the total ten from the Spring season will enter the playoffs stage where one team will be crowned the Spring champion. Notably, the top two teams from the LCS 2023 Spring Playoffs will be representing North America in the upcoming 2023 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) where they will take on the best teams from around the world in London.

LCS 2023 Spring Playoffs: Teams

The following are the six teams that have qualified for the LCS 2023 Spring Playoffs arranged in order of their seeding in the regular split:

  • Cloud9 (C9)

  • FlyQuest (FLY)

  • 100 Thieves (100T)

  • Counter Logic Gaming (CLG)

  • Evil Geniuses (EG)

  • Golden Guardians (GG)

The LCS 2023 Spring Season had exciting games for all the teams. However, it is fair to say that FlyQuest and Cloud9 were in a league of their own while teams like Dignitas openly suffered. After winning the tie-breaker, Cloud9 snatched away first place from FlyQuest on the last day of the regular season.

  • The top six teams from the LCS Spring season participate

  • The 5th and 6th-place teams start in the losers' bracket

  • Double elimination bracket

  • Matches are best-of-five (BO5)

After defeating Golden Guardian with a 3-1 scoreline in the grand final, Cloud9 will represent North America as the first Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2023 seed with a bye to the group stage. Meanwhile, Golden Guardians will start in the Play-in stage of MSI 2023.
