The 18 Teams Going to TI10: Direct Invites and Qualifiers

Bucharest, Romania, will host The International 10 (TI10) from 7th-17th Oct 2021, replacing the scheduled Stockholm, Sweden, event of 5th-15th August.
In addition to the dates and location, the 18 teams that will compete for a share of the $40,018,195 USD prize pool have also been determined with the last resort qualifiers ending recently.

The International is returning after a year hiatus, and fans and teams alike are eager to see the best Dota 2 gameplay. Moreover, Valve's announcement of the presence of a live audience adds even more anticipation to this event. Bucharest, Romania, will host The International 10 (TI10) from 7th-17th Oct 2021, replacing the scheduled Stockholm, Sweden, event of 5th-15th August. The list of 18 TI10 teams

Qualified via DPC points

As the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021 ran for nearly six months and consisted of two regional leagues and two Majors, teams had a decent, if not huge, opportunity to earn points.

Ultimately, the 12 teams that qualified for TI10 based on DPC points were:

Teams having 800 or more DPC points qualified for TI10 in the end.

Qualified via Regional Qualifiers

Teams that competed in the second season of the DPC but failed to qualify for TI10 based on DPC points had one last opportunity to qualify. One slot was allocated to each of the six regions in the TI10 regional qualifiers. Here were the six winners:

  1. Elephant (China)

  2. Fnatic (Southeast Asia)

  3. Team Spirit (Eastern Europe/CIS)

  4. OG (Western Europe)

  5. Undying (North America)

  6. SG esports (South America)

Out of more than 100 teams who competed in the two seasons of the DPC, these 18 won a place at TI10.

TI10: Other details we know so far

In Romania, TI10 will be held at the Arena Nationala, Bucharest. Arena Nationala is a football stadium that has a seating capacity of more than 55,000. There is no word yet as to whether the entire stadium will be open to spectators or if only a limited number will be allowed to attend the event in person. This information, as well as ticket sales, will be released in the near future.

The group stage will be held from 7th to 10th October while the main event runs from 12th to 17th October.
