Team Secret vs Elephant: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

For game 1, Elephant opted for the Io-Luna combo, while Team Secret chose Invoker-Faceless Void. The first 30 minutes of the game were marked by small brawls, but no team was able to pull ahead. As both teams won teamfights alternatively, the networth pendulum kept shifting back and forth. In the end, it was really all about buybacks, and Nisha gave a stellar performance on Invoker, enabling Team Secret to win in 62 minutes.

In game 2 Elephant came back stronger with an Io-Weaver combo. In teamfights, they continuously emerged in positive numbers, which progressively built a solid lead. Despite this, they were wary of penetrating the enemy's high ground, which caused the game to drag on. In his quest to buy a Divine Rapier, MATUMBAMAN farmed from his base, but he died shortly after he bought it, leaving him without a buyback. This allowed Elephant to finally end the game in 52 minutes.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

Team Secret had a successful day as they drew 1-1 with PSG.LGD, giving the latter their first loss of the event. After taking down SG esports, they tied the series against Elephant. So far they have looked strong, but a few individual performances have not been as impressive in their losses. But they still appear to be in great shape for a top-four finish, which allows them to compete in the playoffs.

Following a stellar performance on the first day, Elephant fell apart today. The team lost 2-0 to Vici Gaming, 2-0 to Team Spirit, and drew with Team Secret. Although the team has been drafting well, its overall performance has not lived up to the standards of its players. For Elephant, the third day will be about fixing mistakes and bouncing back.
