The Sapphire OGA Dota PIT Invitational is likely to be the last event where we will see TI competitors face off against each other. The only team in the tournament that has not qualified for TI10 is Tundra Esports. Interestingly, Tundra Esports won the recently concluded ESL One Fall 2021: Bootcamp Edition tournament, where many of these teams competed. They defeated PSG.LGD 3-2 in the grand finals.
All teams are expected to arrive with their full rosters, with the exception of PSG.LGD, which may play without its midlaner, Cheng "NothingToSay" Jin Xiang. Since NothingToSay is not a Chinese native and hails from Malaysia, he has not been able to travel with the team. PSG.LGD’s coach, Zhang "xiao8" Ning, is likely to stand in for him if NothingToSay does miss the event. Xiao8 also participated in the ESL One Fall 2021 event as a stand-in.
