BOOM Esports Finalizes Dota 2 Roster With Tino
The Dota 2 roster of BOOM Esports has finally been completed with the announcement of a fifth player. Justine Ryan Evangelista "Tino" Grimaldo has joined BOOM Esports as its carry player. Tino has previously played for Southeast Asian (SEA) teams Omega Esports and Adroit Esports. The organization announced the signing of Tino on its social media handles, expressing its hopes for a successful Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 season with their new player. The revamped BOOM Esports roster will begin its journey from the Lower Division of the regional league in the DPC 2021-22.

“Hi, guys! I am Tino. I am the new position one for BOOM Esports. Happy to be a part of the team and stay hungry, hungry beast,” said Tino upon joining the team.

The community has been anticipating the arrival of the fifth player of BOOM Esports for a long time. Gary Ongko, the organization's CEO, has been sharing updates regarding the team's search for a fifth player, and it has finally been chosen to go with Tino.
It is probably Tino's biggest break yet in his career so far, having previously played for Southeast Asian sides in the tier 2-3 circuit. His DPC 2021 was spent with Omega Esports, where the team did well in the first regional league and gained promotion to the Upper Division. However, Omega Esports could not match the top teams’ performances in the second regional league. In addition, the team did not fare well in The International 10 (TI10)'s regional qualifier either.
Tino played as Execration's stand-in player in many of the post-TI10 events after Omega Esports disbanded its lineup.
Tino enters a revamped BOOM Esports lineup that is being considered to be among the strongest in the region, and Mushi is also on board as a coach. Despite playing with a substitute, the team recently became back-to-back BTS Pro Series champions. Following the previous season, the organization sought an international lineup and now has a primarily Filipino roster, with Fbz as an exception. Fbz is also the only player who has been retained from last season's roster.
As a result of BOOM Esports' seventh-place finish in the second regional league of the last season, this new team will begin its campaign in the Lower Division of the DPC 2021-22. A top-two finish and qualification for the Upper Division in the second regional league will be the goal for the new BOOM Esports lineup.
