The schedule for the group stage of the Berlin Major 2023 is finally out.
Fans will be treated to five days of intense Dota 2 action across four different streams starting 26th April.
Here are the schedule, results, standings, and other details about the Berlin Major’s group stage.

The ESL One Berlin Major 2023 is the second Major of the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season and this tournament is all set to happen in Berlin, Germany. The schedule for the group stage of the Berlin Major 2023 is finally out and fans will be treated to five days of intense Dota 2 action across four different streams. Apart from the $500K USD prize pool, teams are also vying to claim the majority share of the 2700 DPC points available to make it to The International 12 (TI12). 

The Berlin Major is scheduled to kick off on 26th April and will conclude on 7th May. The Group Stage of the tournament will be single round-robin and all of these series will be best-of-two (BO2) games. The bottom two teams in both groups will be eliminated from play and will not advance to the Playoffs.

Schedule and Results (All times are in CEST)

The Group Stage of the Berlin Major 2023 kicks off on 26th April and concludes on 30th April where the bottom two teams in Group A and B are eliminated from the tournament.

On each of the first four days of the group stage, 16 series will be played. Meanwhile, Day 5, the last day of groups, features eight series and also possible tiebreakers.

Format (26th April to 30th April)

  • A total of eighteen teams participate

    • Western Europe (WEU) and China (CN): 4 seeds

    • Southeast Asia (SEA) and Eastern Europe (EEU): 3 seeds

    • North America (NA) and South America (SA): 2 seeds

  • Two groups of nine teams each

  • Single round-robin setup 

  • All matches are BO2

  • Top four teams from each group advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs

  • The 5th and 6th place teams from each group advance to the lower bracket of the playoffs

  • The bottom two teams are eliminated

Note that after the groups, the top six teams will advance to the stage at Velodrom Arena where they will go head-to-head in front of a live crowd.

Apart from the Dota 2 client, fans can tune into the ESL_Dota2 Twitch channel. Given that there are multiple series happening at the same time, you can tune into other broadcasts simultaneously to watch them all on other Dota 2 Twitch channels. Note that you can watch multiple nail-biting series at once on your screen by simply opting for the Squad streaming option on Twitch.
