Round 2 and 3 of the open qualifiers of SEA-DPC 2021 has come to a close and we now have our next set of four teams that move to Stage 2 of the closed qualifier. Team Veteran and inYourdreaM’s stack, ZeroTwo (previously Team Cow) won round 2 while VISdota and Void emerged victorious in round 3.

After HOYO and Army Geniuses emerged as the winners of the first round of open qualifiers, the remaining teams fought another battle in the second round. This time ZeroTwo which comprises one of the prime free agents in the region was able to secure a spot in Stage 2 of the closed qualifier.
ZeroTwo’s squad for the DPC 2021:
Their series against Paid Actors was forfeited by the latter and they defeated VISdota and Apocalypse to reach the Semifinals to face The Prime, the winner of which would make it to Stage 2 of the closed qualifier. The game turned to be an easy affair for ZeroTwo as they ended the game in 33 minutes to secure a closed qualifier berth.
A roster assembled in 2019, Team Veteran, delivered some strong performances in the open qualifiers to become the second team in round 2 to reach Stage 2 of the closed qualifier. They defeated Sable Hat, Lilgun and Drain Gang.
A four-man Malaysian stack plus the popular Laos offlaner, Somsack “Nevermine” Chantivisouk, makes up the roster of VISdota. They became the first team from the third round of open qualifiers to book a spot in Stage 2 of the closed qualifier by defeating teams like Sable Hat, Sincerely Fury, Motivate.Trust Gaming and Calamity King.
Another Malaysian roster in the form of Void became the second team from the third round of open qualifiers to secure a berth in Stage 2 of the closed qualifier. They were able to beat teams like QueenSurf, Apocalypse, UD Vessuwan and finally, The Prime.
With the conclusion of round three of the open qualifiers, a total of six teams from open qualifiers have made it to Stage 2 of the closed qualifier. Two more will be determined on January 7.
Stage 2 of the closed qualifier is to also welcome four teams from Stage 1. Team SMG and Cignal Ultra have already been knocked down to Stage 2. Two more teams will be joining them on January 7.

A total of 12 teams in Stage 2 will then be competing for eight spots in the Lower Division of main Regional League that is set to begin on January 18.
