Two more RMR (Regional Major Rankings) open qualifiers for PGL Major Antwerp 2022 have concluded as nine CS:GO teams qualify for their respective Europe and Americas RMR tournament, scheduled to take place in April on LAN at the PGL Studio, Bucharest.
The four teams from South America (SA) that have qualified through the first open qualifier for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR are Case Esports, Imperial Esports, 00 Nation, and 9z Team.
The five teams from Europe (EU) that have qualified through the third open qualifier for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: Europe RMR are BIG, SAW, Sprout, Team Unique, and forZe.
Here is how they managed to qualify through the respective open qualifiers and a build up to the PGL RMR tournament so far.
The open qualifiers witnessed the highly awaited debut of the Brazilian 'Last Dance', playing under the banner of a revamped Imperial Esports. It was a great showing by the experienced Brazilian lineup, who started their journey in competitive CS:GO with a dominating '16-0' victory, going undefeated up until the grand final.
The only team to deliver a better performance than them was probably Case Esports, who handed Imperial a '16-7' defeat to win the open qualifiers and prove they are pretty strong contenders.

Other two teams to qualify were, Marcelo "coldzera" David's 00 Nation who placed third in the qualifiers following a forfeit by 9z Team as it faced some technical problems. Despite the forfeit they qualified to the next stage, becoming the only non-Brazilian team to make it through so far.
Unlike the previous two open qualifiers where four teams qualified to the next stage, for the third open qualifier a total of five teams made it through to the next stage.
BIG went on to win the third open qualifiers pretty comfortably apart from one tense game played against MAD Lions in the 'Round of 16'. Being a single elimination match that was taking place on Nuke, BIG forced an overtime before securing a tight '19-15' victory. Apart from this the German organization did not face too many difficulties on their way to the European RMR.
The other three CS:GO teams that qualified were SAW (Portuguese), Sprout (German), and Team Unique (Kazakh) taking the second, third, and fourth place respectively.
The fifth and final place was awarded to the Russian esports organization forZe which currently operates a completely Russian roster. Though Valve and PGL have not made any statements regarding the ongoing Ukraine crisis, it remains to be seen how this situation unfolds.
The 'Far East Russian Qualifier' which was a part of the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR is currently scheduled to take place from 5th to 6th March, with only one team set to qualify for PGL Major Antwerp 2022: Europe RMR.
