It been a little over a week since IEM Dallas 2022, where Cloud9 lifted the trophy, and the competitive circuit is ready to witness another action-packed LAN tournament with BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022. This event will see some of the best teams from around the world go head-to-head against each other in a bid to qualify for the BLAST Premier: World Final 2022.

All the teams participating in this tournament have made their way through various qualifying events. These eight teams have been divided into two groups of four teams each for the first stage of the event, top three teams from each group will qualify to the playoffs.

Format

BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022 has been divided into two stages, the group stage followed by the playoffs. Here is how they both will be played out,

  • The group stage of the tournament will witness all the eight teams being divided into two groups of four teams each. Both these groups will be following a double-elimination format with all matches following a BO3 series.

  • The winners of both the groups will directly advance to the semifinals, the runners-up will claim the high seed of the quarterfinals, and the third-placed teams will acquire the low seed of the quarterfinals.

  • The six teams that advance to the playoffs will faceoff in a single-elimination bracket, where every match will be a BO3 series.
