Team Vitality manages to survive their do-or-die matchup against Ninjas in Pyjamas by taking them down with a straight-up ‘2-0’ victory and though it was Richard 'shox' Papillon who led the team with a rating of 1.48, the highlight of the match was a ridiculous play made by their star player Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut.
After securing the first map by a score of ‘16-9’ Vitality was down by two rounds on Dust 2 when ZywOo turned things around for the French squad single-handedly. In the 21st round, ZywOo struck homerun for Vitality by taking three back-to-back kills to break Ninjas in Pyjamas’ rising momentum.

ZywOo stopped NiP’s push through the mid by finding a quick kill on Plopski, with information at hand that ZywOo is holding ‘CT-Spawn’ NiP smoked off the area while tossing a flash as well. But to everyone’s surprise, the French star was able to secure another kill on REZ while blinded and through the smoke.
If this was not enough the last nail in the coffin was struck when ZywOo took a hattrick by fragging twist through the smoke. The whole scenario was a perfect example of the saying ‘fortune favours the brave’.
The victory in that round turned out to be the turning point of the match as Vitality went on to take a lead on the back of a four-round win streak. The map came to an end with Vitality winning the game by a score of ‘16-13’.
With this Vitality continue to move ahead in their lower bracket run as they faceoff against Na’Vi as their final opponent before reaching the lower bracket final, where the loser of FaZe Clan and Complexity matchup will be awaiting their arrival.
