The main 5 of Omega Esports who brought the championship title in the MSC 2021, will be playing together in the MPL PH Season 9.

Omega Esports’ pro player Billy "Z4pnu" Alfonso believes that the time is ripe for the team’s star jungler Kiel “Kielvj” VJ Cruzem to return to Omega Esports’ main lineup for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9. Through a vlog, Z4pnu stated that since KielVJ was removed from the main lineup, the team hasn’t been performing up to the mark. While the players were doing a stellar job during matches, they still couldn't match what KielVJ brought to the table as the Jungler. He also revealed that the team’s star Gold Laner, Grant “Kelra” Duane Pillas, may also be playing in the main lineup in the upcoming MPL PH Season 9.

Omega Esports became the talk of the town when two of its recently recruited amateur players - Jhonville “OUTPLAYED” Villar and Jefferson “Amethyst” Santos, put up an impressive performance during the MLBB SIBOL Qualifiers.

Z4pnu revealed the problems that plagued the team during the esports event. According to him, the two rookies along with the team’s jungler Dean “Raizen” Christian Sumagui couldn’t help but read the comments section during the livestream. This may have affected them in some way as some fans had high expectations from the players while some were criticizing their gameplay.

During the second round of the MLBB Sibol Qualifiers Phase 2, Omega Esports lost against Nexplay EVOS with a match score of 1-2. While the team was eliminated from the tournament, fans were still impressed with the performance of its new recruits. However, there were a few fans who were criticizing the team in the comments section.

“We told them not to keep looking at the comments section because it will have a huge impact (on their performance) if they get affected, especially that OUTPLAYED and Raizen are still new,” stated Z4pnu.

After the tournament concluded, the team decided that KielVJ should be in the main lineup of Omega Esports in the upcoming MPL PH Season 9. This way, Raizen can take a breather and deal with his frustrations of the MLBB Sibol Qualifiers.

“I already told Pakbet and E2MAX to let KielVJ play and let Raizen cool his head down,” stated Z4pnu.

The pro player added that the team still played well during the tournament but it lacks in comparison to its performance during the MPL PH Season 8.

The kings of Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Championship (MSC) 2021 are back for MPL PH Season 9

According to Z4pnu, the old squad is back in the main lineup of Omega Esports. The lineup is composed of KielVJ, Kelra, Renz “Renzio” Errol Salonga Cadua, Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog, and Patrick “E2MAX” James Caidic.

He added that KielVJ was supposed to be playing more frequently in previous tournaments, however, the team was focusing on the overall performance in tournaments and scrims. This was where Raizen showed more potential.

In the upcoming MPL PH Season 9, Omega Esports will be bringing back the MSC 2021 championship squad in hopes of claiming the championship title in the upcoming tournament.
