Riot Games Reschedules Wild Rift Patch 2.5b balance changes

The prestigious event for Wild Rift, the Horizon Cup 2021 will soon kick-off and will feature the top teams from across the world competing for the lion’s share of the $500,000 USD prize pool and the first-ever Wild Rift championship title.

Due to the upcoming major esports event, Riot Games announced that it will be delaying some of the content for the Wild Rift Patch 2.5b update. This includes both balance changes that could impact the meta and the full patch notes that are supposed to be posted on the official website.

This is to ensure that the participants of the Horizon Cup 2021 will have plenty of time to prepare and strategize without having to adjust to the sudden balance changes at the last minute.

The big announcement was made through the official social media handles of Wild Rift, also revealing that the Arcane-themed events, new champions, and skins will still be released on 10th Nov 2021.

The in-game events - the Arcane Experience and the Hextech Heist event are currently ongoing, giving players a chance to unlock two free Arcane-themed skins for Jinx and Vi. Players who participate in the event can also unlock one of the two new champions, Jayce or Caitlyn.

Riot Games is yet to provide the exact schedule for the release of the balance changes for Wild Rift Patch 2.5b. These balance changes may be deployed once the Horizon Cup 2021 officially concludes on 21st Nov 2021.
